The Barnegat Light Town Council meeting begins at 5:00 PM at Borough Hall, 10 East 7th Street, Barnegat Light. It is held on the second Wednesday of each month.

Howell Environmental Commission Meeting @ Main Meeting Room

The commission was established for the protection, development, or use of natural resources, including water resources, located within the territorial limits of the Township. In order to carry out these purposes, the commission shall have the following powers:

  • Acting as the coordinating agency for the community on conservation matters and a liaison between local conservation needs and regional, county, state, and federal agencies administering to those needs
  • Advertising, preparing, printing, and distributing books, maps, charts, plans, and pamphlets, which in its judgment it deems necessary for its purposes
  • Conducting research into the possible use of the open areas of the Township
  • It shall keep an index of all open areas publicly or privately owned, including open marsh lands, swamps, and other wetlands, in order to obtain information on the proper use of such areas
  • Managing donated or purchased lands for conservation purposes and operating conservation programs
  • Planning, implementing, and informing the public about local conservation programs
  • Promoting the conservation and development of the natural resources of the Township
  • Recommending to the Planning Board plans and programs for inclusion in a Township Master Plan and the development and use of such open areas

Millstone Planning Board Meeting @ Millstone Township Meeting Room

The Planning Board is responsible under state statute for preparing and adopting a Township Master Plan and for reviewing any and all land use development within Millstone Township, including alterations/additions to the schools, utilities and municipal agencies. The Planning Board is charged with approving all subdivisions, site plans, planned development applications and conditional uses which conform to Township land use ordinances. The Planning Board is also responsible for reviewing all ordinances proposed by the Township Committee that deal with land use, specifically Chapter 84 of the Township Code, as well Municipal Land Use Law, Chapter 291, Laws of N.J. 1975.
