Join a Save Barnegat Bay Plant biologist for a workshop on native plants and her research on dune grasses at Island Beach State Park. You’ll learn which natives are best to plant along the barrier islands and which are the best for pollinators. The presentation will end with a walk along the trail by the Interpretive Center.
Join Save Barnegat Bay for our Annual Meeting at Mancini Hall in the Ocean County Library in Toms River. Listen to an update on our programs, campaigns, and projects and participate in a discussion about the bay and its future.
A presentation will be made by our Water Quality Team focusing on sampling results of the storm-water draining systems into Barnegat Bay. Our Student Grant Program has been running for 9 years and has provided research opportunities and funding to 54 students.
Join us for our annual meeting to meet the Save Barnegat Bay community and learn about current issues facing the bay.
Students have been working hard all summer on research projects throughout the Barnegat Bay Watershed. Join us to hear what their projects were all about and congratulate our young grantees on their accomplishments!
Calling all birders! Beginner to advanced birders are encouraged to join us for our free Great Backyard Bird Count at Browns Woods. Come meet us for a 45 min walk to help the bird populations in New Jersey. Chief Naturalist Chris Claus will be leading the bird walk and count.
