“The Mantoloking Environmental Commission seeks to improve the environmental quality of our land, bay, and ocean. Through education and outreach, the Commission encourages citizens to incorporate environmentally responsible practices into homes, gardens, and daily life. The Commission’s goal is to improve the health of the land and the surrounding waters while reducing the potential to harm the environment.”

The Commission meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month. Meetings begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.

The Environmental Commission is responsible for the protection, development, and use of natural resources, including water resources located within the township. The Commission also formulates recommendations to the Township Council concerning open space preservation, water resource management, air pollution control, solid waste management, noise control, soil and landscaping protection, environmental appearance, marine resources and the protection of flora and fauna.

Meetings are held at 6:30 pm in the Administrative Conference Room at Town Hall, 401 Chambers Bridge Rd.
