Come and learn about the fascinating and resourceful world of the honeybee in the United States. 2019 American Honey Princess Nicole Medina of New Jersey will teach attendees about the inner workings of the beehive, beekeeping in the United States, and how the diverse flight path of honeybees extends from food to fiber. She will also share tips on how honey can rejuvenate itself and you, and will share recipes using one of the over 300 varieties of honey in the United States. Experience how this wondrous insect affects many aspects of our world!Nicole Medina is the 19-year-old daughter of Joel and Nolvia Media of Green Township, NJ. She is a sophomore at Sussex County Community College studying business administration. Nicole has been keeping bees for five years with her family and is an active volunteer with the Sussex County Beekeepers Association. As the 2019 American Honey Princess, Nicole is a national spokesperson for the American Beekeeping Federation, a trade organization representing beekeepers and honey producers throughout the United States. The Honey Queen and Princess speak and promote in venues nationwide, and Princess Nicole has traveled extensively nationwide on behalf of the organization.
