THANK YOU Reedy Creek Cleanup Volunteers
In perfect fall whether about forty residents from Brick and surrounding towns helped pull trash out of the Reedy Creek woods in Brick.
The event occurs each and every year on the first Saturday of November. After over twenty years of effort, we have to walk farther and look harder for trash -- but it is there.
Our goal is to take more trash out in one day than slobs bring in on the other 364, and it is working!
A shout out to Drum Point Elementary School in Brick and to Ocean Road School in Point Pleasant. We love seeing the young people out there, and they had fun!
A big thank you also to the Township of Brick for supplying the all-important dumpster, which we nicknamed "Harmony".
Our next cleanup is on the last Saturday of March, the 28th, at Herring Point, also in Brick. Our base camp is about 200 yards west of the Mantoloking Bridge. See you there!
Thank you volunteers! You made it happen!
