Get Involved with Save Barnegat Bay

SGP Presentations 2015

Background

The Student Grant Program was established to provide an opportunity for students studying marine science, natural resource management, environmental science, or related fields, to conduct their own independent research projects in Barnegat Bay. Individual grants are awarded by an application process and money is donated through Save Barnegat Bay’s Student Grant Program Fund or in memoriam of the late Paul “Pete” McLain, who was influential in the creation of this program.

Each year, students present their findings to the public and selected officials. Save Barnegat Bay hosts a presentation and Q&A session, in which all student researchers give a PowerPoint presentation and answer any questions from the audience about their project and their results. Students are then asked to submit a full paper on their project for scientific committee review.
